State panel issues findings on Brookhaven annexation Ruling paves way for developments at Briarcliff and North Druid Hills Brookhaven, GA, Sept. 3, 2020 – A five-member arbitration panel appointed by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs issued their unanimous findings in the challenge by the County against property owners seeking annexation into the City of Brookhaven. The ruling settles issues involving Brookhaven’s annexation and the eventual redevelopment of 27 acres at the eastern side of the intersection of North Druid Hills and Briarcliff roads. |

Rained out movie nights rescheduled throughout September Brookhaven, GA, Sept. 3, 2020 – The Brookhaven Parks and Recreation Department is determined to beat the elements and give residents the summer movie nights that were promised. Therefore, three of the movies, formerly rained out, are being offered in September. Whether it’s a movie under the stars viewed from a blanket or lawn chair or while relaxing in a cool pool, guests can choose which format works best for them. In an effort to remain compliant with pandemic safety precautions, safety options will be offered at all events. |

Brookhaven approves new face mask requirements Brookhaven, GA, Aug. 26, 2020 – The City of Brookhaven approved a new local ordinance requiring the use of face masks in public places within Brookhaven to prevent the escalating spread of COVID-19. Under the ordinance, all persons are required to wear a mask or face covering while outdoors in an environment in which people who do not reside in the same household cannot maintain at least six feet of physical distance from one another. |
