City Council wrap-up of the Aug. 11 virtual meeting

 

Brookhaven, GA, Aug. 11, 2020 – The Brookhaven City Council acted on several items in its Aug. 11 business meeting, held via video conference, with public input offered through email and by online comments on Zoom.  The action items are as follows:

  • The Council unanimously approved a consent agenda which included:
    • The minutes of the July 28 virtual Work Session and Regular Meeting.
    • The cancellation of the Lowe Engineers Task Order for project management services.
    • The Jacobs Engineering Group Task Order for project management services for the construction of the Public Safety Building.
    • A resolution authorizing the City of Brookhaven to enter into agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation for Roadway Lighting Assistance for I-85 at SR-42.
    • A resolution for funding the design of Ashford Dunwoody/Perimeter Summit Parkway improvements.
    • A resolution to authorize the City Attorney to take necessary action to secure in real property for Roadways as authorized under State law.
    • The application to and acceptance of Edward Byrne Formula Funding

 

  • The Mayor and Council received a presentation of the Brookhaven Citizen Participation Plan for HUD Projects.
     
  • The Council unanimously approved a resolution to negotiate an Intergovernmental Agreement with DeKalb County for allocation of grant funds pursuant to the Federal Cares Act, to execute such an agreement once negotiated, and for other purposes.
