Brookhaven Parks & Recreation introduces in-house maintenance division FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Brookhaven, GA, March 23, 2021 – A crisp spring morning at Blackburn Park was the perfect setting to welcome the City of Brookhaven’s newest staff members- a 17-member parks operations maintenance crew. In an effort to save money and maintain better quality control, the Brookhaven Parks & Recreation Department hired in-house staff in lieu of contractors to take care of the City’s parks, recreation facilities, right-of-way and FEMA properties. |

Brookhaven contracts with analytics firm to aid in redistricting Brookhaven, GA, March 9, 2021 – The Brookhaven City Council has taken action to address the annexations east of Interstate 85 to complete redistricting prior to the upcoming municipal elections this fall. Due to complications caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, The U.S. Census was delayed in receiving data, and currently anticipates local census data to be released at the end of September. However, qualifying for November municipal elections in Brookhaven takes place Aug. 18-20. |
