Brookhaven awards two sidewalk projects

Brookhaven, GA, March 12, 2019 – The Brookhaven City Council advanced its sidewalk program with the award of two sidewalk projects. 

The Council unanimously approved contracts with DAF Concrete Inc. for the E. Drew Valley Road sidewalk in the amount of $34,000, and for the Cheshire Way sidewalk in the amount of $38,000.

“These sidewalk projects are another step in the right direction to make Brookhaven a greener and more pedestrian friendly place to live, work and play,” said Brookhaven Mayor John Ernst.

Each sidewalk will consist of 330 linear feet, and will include (as needed) site grading, erosion control measure, utility adjustments and adjusting existing granite curbs.

“Brookhaven is kicking off sidewalk and paving projects to build upon the momentum from 2017 and 2018,” said Public Works Director Hari Karikaran. “We appreciate everyone’s patience and consideration as we complete these community improvements.”
