Valentine Dance offers special evening for daddies/daughters

Brookhaven, GA, Jan. 10, 2020 – It’s time once again for a memorable evening of daddies in bow ties and daughters dressed up for the ball at the annual Brookhaven Daddy-Daughter Valentine’s Dance … and this year there’s an added bonus. Due to its popularity, the dance has been expanded to offer a choice of two nights, Feb. 7 or Feb. 8, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Lynwood Park Recreation Center, 3360 Osborne Road.

Millennial dads are spending far more time with their children -- more than double the amount of time dads spent with kids in 1965 – and the dance offers an additional opportunity for father-daughter bonding. 

“This wonderful Brookhaven tradition is a chance for fathers and daughters to spend a fun, memorable evening together, with great keepsakes to take home,” said Parks and Recreation Director Brian Borden.

The participants will have a chance to have their photos taken, a DJ will play hit songs and requests, and refreshments and giveaways will be included.
