A little Spring rain failed to dampen last year’s Easter Egg Scramble at Blackburn Park

Brookhaven, GA, March 5, 2020 -- It’s time once again to hop on down to Blackburn Park for one of Brookhaven’s favorite events, the annual Easter Egg Scramble set for April 11 from 9-11 a.m. It’s a day filled with Easter fun for the entire family as 10,000 prize-filled eggs are scattered across the park’s rolling green meadow at 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road.

“Everyone is invited to come to Blackburn Park to participate in this great Spring tradition,” said Parks and Recreation Director Brian Borden.

The event is free to the public, there will be food trucks offering breakfast fare at reasonable prices, and the Easter Bunny will be on hand to pose for photos. Egg hunters will be split into age groups (3 and under; 4-6, and 7+) with separate areas for each. The egg hunt begins at 10:30 sharp.

Also onsite to entertain the youngsters will be a special toddler play area featuring small rocking horses, a mini-basketball goal, small slide and a ball pit. Nearby will be bouncy houses and face painting artists.

All those wishing to participate should bring their own basket to use when gathering the Easter eggs. Mark your calendars for the popular event and bring the kids to enjoy the day and pose for photos with Peter Rabbit.
