10,000 daffodils to festoon the hillsides fronting Ashford Dunwoody

Brookhaven, GA, Dec. 14, 2020 – One by one, a journey of 10,000 steps is taking place in Blackburn Park.

Crews began a prolific bulb-planting today, as daffodils were positioned on the hills in full view of Ashford Dunwoody Road in Blackburn Park.

“This is just another step to making the Brookhaven Park experience the best it can be.  What we are planting today will be enjoyed for many springs in the years to come,” said Brookhaven Mayor John Ernst.

“Daffodils are perennial and very hardy.  They are one of the first flowers to signify the beauty and hope of spring, often blooming as early as February,” said Parks and Recreation Director Brian Borden.
