Brookhaven, GA, Sept. 27, 2019 – In a festive celebration featuring coaches and players, the Atlanta Hawks and Brookhaven City Council unveiled new site improvements to existing basketball courts and renovation of the community room at Lynwood Park.

The Brookhaven City Council approved the improvements to Lynwood Park in a special partnership with the Atlanta Hawks Foundation, Inc. and State Farm at its July 23 regular business meeting.

“The Atlanta Hawks have already proven to be an invaluable community partner in the short time since they located their practice facility in Brookhaven,” said Mayor John Ernst.  “This investment in our youth underscores the continuing commitment of the Hawks and State Farm to enhance healthy recreational opportunities in the City and beyond.”

The Atlanta Hawks Foundation, Inc., is a Georgia non-profit organization which forges partnerships with local agencies in order to benefit children with an interest in basketball through the operation of youth basketball programs.  The organization has partnered with State Farm to make investments in neighborhoods across the metro Atlanta area as part of the State Farm Neighborhood of Good® and the Atlanta Hawks Court and Community Program.
