City Council wrap-up for the May 14 meeting

Brookhaven, GA, May 14, 2024 The Brookhaven City Council did not have a quorum for its May 14 meeting.  The City Council held a public comment period and issued a proclamation recognizing National Travel and Tourism Week, which was received by Renee Areng, President and CEO of Explore Brookhaven.

All of the following items will be rescheduled for a future meeting:

  • The appointment of Quinton Washington as Business License Appeal Hearing Officer.
     
  • The reappointment of Marquita Jackson and Austin Harrison to the Brookhaven Development Authority.
     
  • The appointment of Lauren B. Thomas to the Advisory Audit Committee.
  • The appointment of Lance Wallace and reappointment of Nancy Plesnarski to the Explore Brookhaven Board.
  • The consent agenda which includes:
    • The minutes of the April 25, 2024, Work Session and Regular Meeting.
  • A resolution to make administrative changes to the current streetlight fee rates.
     
  • A resolution to make administrative changes to the current stormwater service fee rates.
     
  • An ordinance to close CIP projects.
     
  • An ordinance for the PEP Building and Contingency in the amount of $250,000.
