City Council wrap-up for the Dec. 30 special called meeting

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Brookhaven, GA, Dec. 30, 2021 – The Brookhaven City Council acted on two items in its Dec. 30 special called meeting, held via video conference, with public input offered through email and by online comments on Zoom.  The action items are as follows:

  • The Council unanimously approved a clarification of the definition of “parcels” in the ordinance (approved during the regular Dec. 14 City Council meeting) to create the City of Brookhaven Special Service District, providing for definitions, establishing an effective date, and for other purposes. Public comment was available for this item.
     
  • The Council unanimously approved an extension of the Emergency Declaration Ordinance and an amendment to the ordinance giving the City the ability to establish additional COVID-19 testing sites. Public comment was available for this item.
