City Council virtual meeting on Nov. 9

Brookhaven, GA, Nov. 8, 2021 – The Brookhaven City Council will conduct its next regularly scheduled business meeting Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. In consideration of social distancing recommendations, the meeting will be held via video conference.

In order to ensure transparency and accountability, the public will be able to weigh in during Public Hearings and Public Comment by any of the following options:

The Nov. 9 business meeting contains the following for City Council consideration:

  • A recognition of Brookhaven Girl Scouts who earned the Silver Award.
  • A public hearing of the proposed FY 2022 Budget.  No action will be taken at this meeting, and the next public hearing will be on Nov. 30.
  • The reappointment of trustees Chris Alto and Rich Levy to the Brookhaven Convention and Visitors Bureau.
  • A public comment availability.
     
  • A consent agenda which includes:
    • The minutes of the Oct. 26 virtual Work Session and Regular Meeting.
    • The extension of the PTO maximum carryover hours from 400 to 440 through calendar year 2022.
    • Approval of the Mayor and Council 2022 regularly scheduled meetings.
  • An agreement with Woodwind Construction Company Inc. for the Murphey Candler Park Pool parking lot project in the amount of $629,380.
  • An agreement between the City of Brookhaven Parks and Recreation Department and Up4Tennis for tennis related services to include youth and adult lessons and tennis camps.
