CIty Council virtual meeting on May 12

Brookhaven, GA, May 11, 2020 – The Brookhaven City Council will conduct its next regularly scheduled business meeting on May 12, at 7 p.m.  However, in consideration of social distancing recommendations by the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and State Board of Health, the meeting will be held via video conference. 

In order to ensure transparency and accountability, the meeting will be broadcast on Facebook Live on the City’s Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/BrookhavenGAgov.  The public will be able to weigh in during Public Hearings and Public Comment by any of the following:

  • Typing comments into the Facebook Live comment section
  • Sending an email to PublicComment@BrookhavenGA.gov

The agenda for the May 12 business meeting contains the following for City Council consideration:

  • Department reports, including an operations report from the City Manager.
  • A public comment availability.
  • A consent agenda to approve minutes of the April 28 virtual meeting.
  • Consideration of a resolution accepting the Buford Highway Transit Evaluation Report and amending the Comprehensive Transportation Plan and the Buford Highway Improvement Master Plans accordingly.
  • Consideration of a contract with Construction 57 Inc. to construct the Windsor/Osborne Roundabout in the amount of $725,000.
  • Consideration of a Contract with the Corbett Group, LLC for construction of Phase III South Bamby drainage improvements in the amount of $544,800
