City Council business meeting on June 28
Brookhaven, GA, June 27, 2022 – The Brookhaven City Council will conduct its next regularly scheduled business meeting Tuesday, June 28, at 7 p.m., at Brookhaven City Hall, 4362 Peachtree Road NE, in Brookhaven. While the meeting will be held in person, the public can participate in public hearings and public comment remotely via Zoom video conference.
Residents can submit public input by any of the following options:

The business meeting contains the following for City Council consideration:
- The adoption of the FY 2022 Millage Rate for General Operations (2.74 mills), General Obligation Bonds (0.55 mills), Special Tax District #1 (6.45 mills), LaVista Park Special Tax District (3.5 mills) and the Special Service District (4.00 mills). The first public hearing took place on June 14 and two additional public hearings will occur before the meeting on June 28 at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. More information about those public hearings here.
- A public hearing to announce the development of the Brookhaven 2022 CDBG Action Plan.
- A public hearing on Amendment #1 to 2021 CDBG Action Plan.
- An ordinance to amend the 2022 General Fund Budget, appropriating an amount not to exceed $1,100,000 for the construction of Langford Memorial Park.
- The second read and consideration of an ordinance to amend the Charter of the City of Brookhaven to correct a conflict in the powers of the City government to reflect the original intent of the charter and establish an effective date.
- A public comment availability.
