City Council business meeting on Aug. 23

Brookhaven, GA, Aug 22, 2022 – The Brookhaven City Council will conduct its next regularly scheduled business meeting Tuesday, Aug 23, at 7 p.m., at Brookhaven City Hall, 4362 Peachtree Road NE, in Brookhaven. While the meeting will be held in person, the public can participate in public hearings and public comment remotely via Zoom video conference.

Residents can submit public input by any of the following options:

The business meeting contains the following for City Council consideration:

• A public hearing for an ordinance amending the Brookhaven Zoning Code - Chapter 27, Article VII, Division 4, Section 27-588 - TA22-02 - Household Living (adding seven varying unit sizes).

• A public comment availability.

• A consent agenda which includes:
  • The minutes of the August 9 Work Session and Regular Meeting.
  • A facility use agreement for use of the meeting room at the Briarwood Park Recreation Center for the upcoming school year for their afterschool program.
  • A contract with AXON for the New Public Safety Building Interview Rooms for Audio and Video Recording Needs in the amount of $86,138 to be paid over five years.

• A resolution approving projects for the Urban Redevelopment Agency.

 A change order for Lose & Associates for the design and engineering services for the LCI (Livable Centers Initiative) improvements at Brookhaven Park that fronts Peachtree Road in the amount of $120,500.

• An ordinance to amend the authorized position list for the City of Brookhaven.
