‘Mondays With Madeleine’ virtual town hall to feature Urban Redevelopment Authority discussion

Brookhaven, GA, Jan. 25, 2022 – The public is invited to join District 3 Councilwoman Madeleine Simmons for the January 2022 edition of her “Mondays With Madeleine” town hall.

District 4 Councilman John Funny and Brookhaven City Attorney Chris Balch will join Councilwoman Simmons to discuss the possibilities for an Urban Redevelopment Authority in the City of Brookhaven.

This month’s town hall will be virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be held Monday, Jan. 31, from 6 to 7 p.m. via video conference, and will be broadcast on Facebook Live on the City’s Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/BrookhavenGAgov. 

“In addition to District 3 updates, please join me, Councilman Funny and our City Attorney as we discuss what an Urban Redevelopment Authority is, how it works and why it might be of value to the City,” said Councilwoman Simmons.

The public will be able to weigh in, ask questions and interact by:
