Boundless Dreams to be unveiled at Brookhaven International Festival

Dashboard partners with We Love Buford Highway, The Brookhaven Arts and Culture Commission, and Explore Brookhaven to transform infrastructure into unifying public artworks

BROOKHAVEN, GADashboard, We Love Buford Highway, the Brookhaven Arts and Culture Commission, and Explore Brookhaven announce Boundless Dreams – a dynamic display of outdoor artworks uniting dreamers from different walks of life, unveiling alongside the inaugural Brookhaven International Festival. Produced and curated by
Dashboard and featuring local Metro-Atlanta artists Gavin Bernard and Patricia Hernandez, the exhibition connects the artist’s boundless dreams and artistic expressions to showcase unity at the center stage and inspire a shared vision of harmony, understanding, and collective strength.

“Art and culture initiatives raise awareness and connections within communities,” says We Love Buford Highway Executive Director Lily Pabian, “[All] while fostering inclusivity and curiosity through visual storytelling of diverse heritages, representations, and customs.”

Inspired by the festival’s mission to weave together the cultures and communities represented by Buford Highway, the installations will playfully utilize color, light, and form to transform infrastructure in Brookhaven, including walkways, lighting, and fencing, into beacons for storytelling and celebration.

“The project combines the abstract with the real,” says artist Patricia Hernandez, “It celebrates the diversity and unity of an urban community, highlighting the connections forged among its inhabitants.”

Boundless Dreams is free and open to the public and will remain on view day and night from October 21, 2023 through January 19, 2024, allowing passersby to experience the artworks in new ways as daylight changes through the seasons.
