Brookhaven Beautification and Landscape gets to work

Brookhaven, GA, Sept. 6, 2022 – Brookhaven’s new Beautification and Landscape Crew rolls up its sleeves and gets to work on key state routes, beginning with the Buford Highway corridor, on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 10:30 a.m. at 1960 North Druid Hills Road in Brookhaven.

The new operation will focus exclusively on the state routes in Brookhaven.  In addition to Buford Highway, the Beautification and Landscape Crew will also include Peachtree Road and North Druid Hills Road, once fully staffed.

To underscore the significance of this development, Councilman John Funny will be onsite, with a weed whacker in hand, supporting the new work detail as aesthetic improvements get underway.

“The Buford Highway Corridor is the cultural and economic epicenter of Brookhaven and the region. We are putting our money and our muscle into making this corridor as beautiful as possible and functional for our residents,” said Councilman Funny.

Councilman Funny will describe the significance of the Beautification and Landscape Crew, answer questions, and go back to participating in the clean-up.
