Go ‘behind the scenes’ by volunteering at the 2019 Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival

Brookhaven, GA, Feb. 13, 2019 – Want a behind-the-scenes look at the City of Brookhaven’s biggest event?

Volunteers are needed for the 2019 Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival 5K, taking place Saturday, March 23, and the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival, taking place Saturday and Sunday, March 30 and 31. All events are held at Blackburn Park, 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road.

“Our dedicated volunteers make the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival possible,” said District 1 Councilwoman Linley Jones. “This is a fantastic opportunity to go behind the scenes of the City’s marquee event, and volunteers will also have plenty of time to enjoy everything the festival has to offer.”

“Volunteering at the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival is a great way to get involved with the City,” added Brookhaven Mayor John Ernst. “What better way to spend a morning or afternoon than in our wonderful Blackburn Park helping put on a great community-building event?”

Volunteer opportunities include artist setup, breakdown, hospitality suite, and 5K race duties. Shifts range from two to four hours. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age. Click here for more information on volunteering: www.BrookhavenGA.gov/festival/page/volunteer

The festival will feature an all-star music lineup including the Wallflowers, Smash Mouth, the Spin Doctors and the Romantics, an Arts & Crafts Market, Kidz Zone and Pet World. The Classic Car Show will return on Saturday, March 30.
