When construction issues on private property arise due to the City-wide Google Fiber installation, please call Google Fiber's Construction Issues Customer Service Line.  Once you get through two automated messages, a live and very helpful Customer Services Representative will take your report, create a ticket, and actions to begin recovery from the damages will be initiated.  We've seen that once the ball starts rolling, their Contractors have been responsive.

The Brookhaven Public Works Department provides management oversight, maintenance, operations, planning, and capital improvements to the City's streets, sidewalks, stormwater systems, traffic signals, roadway signs, and rights-of-way. Activities within the department include roadway and sidewalk repair, roadway landscape maintenance and tree removal, street paving, sidewalk construction, traffic calming coordination and implementation, transportation and stormwater development plan review, snow and ice removal, and emergency downed tree and debris removal.

Our staff includes nine discipline-specific professionals, most with over 20 years of experience in their fields.

Public Works is the one-stop location for neighborhoods to request Street Sign Toppers, new Sidewalks and Extensions, Traffic Calming Devices, and Street Lights.

Service requests are submitted through Brookhaven Connect and are automatically routed to the appropriate subject matter expert.  Brookhaven Connect provides two-way communication between City staff and residents and is the primary way to communicate with Public Works.

Public Works also oversees various permits related to street closures, dumpster placements and right-of-way encroachment.

Brookhaven does not provide sanitation, water, sanitary sewer, power, communications, or natural gas services.  However, we do coordinate with these other service providers and utilities.  To learn more, click here.
