Notice: ChatComm seeks public comment
The Chattahoochee River 911 Authority (ChatComm) is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve Communications Accreditation by verifying it meets professional standards. ChatComm first achieved accreditation in July 2014 and this will be our first re-accreditation.
Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in three basic areas; policy and procedure, administration and operations.
Agency employees and the public are also invited to offer comments by calling 404-843-6615 On Tuesday June 13, 2017, between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Comments will be taken by the Assessment Team.
Telephone comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with CALEA’s standards. A copy of the standards is available at ChatComm. Local Contact is Stephen Pierce 404-843-6609.
Anyone wishing to submit written comments about ChatComm’s ability to comply with the standards for accreditation may send them to the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement, Inc. (CALEA), 13575 Heathcote Blvd. Suite 320, Gainesville, VA. 20155 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
