Brookhaven to host 3rd Annual Storm Drain Marker Volunteer Event

Brookhaven, GA, Sept. 29, 2017 - The City of Brookhaven’s Stormwater Division is seeking participants for its 3rd Annual Storm Drain Marker Volunteer Event, on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m. to noon.
This year the project will take place in the Drew Valley area. Volunteers will meet at the Drew Valley Pond (2406 Drew Valley Road) at 9:45 a.m. to receive instructions and materials.
This community service project:
- Is appropriate for all ages and group sizes
- Is flexible enough to fit into busy schedules
- Requires minimal time
- Is easy to do
Volunteers will glue plastic discs to storm drains reminding residents that “No Dumping” helps all of us and protects the environment. The City will provide all materials needed for this event.
“This will be a fun and instructive event that will benefit the City of Brookhaven by protecting and preserving our beautiful and unique water resources,” said Brookhaven Stormwater Manager Gregory Anderson.
